Regular Season Discussion

Lets say Galvis would get $7.5M, and Guerra would cost approx. $.5M. You could find some interesting SP and/or a RP/CL that needs assistance in rebounding for $7M. Sure, you might take a .50 hit in BA although I bet the power numbers would be similar between Galvis and Guerra and the glove should be similar as well. And if Guerra does succeed in the ML, what a trade chip he could become.

If Guerra could hit .240 with about 10 HRs, with his D, he'd be a great trade chip

Matt Holliday "still" hasn't touched home plate!

🙂

Typical.

Ugh!

Looking like 100 losses is a cinch. I hope it's the last time for a looooong time

This!

Clayton Richard on the DL (might be the end of his days) and Brewer off the DL and back.

Would expect after Sept 1 Lauer is back for the 5th SP spot and Nix / Kennedy keep their spots in the rotation ... outside chance (sadly) we see Mitchell return as the #6 SP and there is some "innings management" for the young arms.

Wow. That must be a hell of a knee injury for Richard.

Not the knee ending his career ... but the knee is a nice way to ease him out of the game given he will be 35 next season and post All-Star game (7 starts) he has an 8.57 ERA ... actually except for June not all that compelling as a SP all season.

At best he is back for ST and MIGHT hang on in the pen depending on the competition ... got the alternative arms ready do build for the future.

Urias got robbed.

How does that happen?

I watched the replay like 5 times and every time the ball disappeared behind the yellow foul pole.....so how does NY look at that and say it is foul?
