Some of these names are literally re-hashed I Google some that had like 3 baseball reference profiles at different decades 😳 while trying to get info on them 😆 🤣

Kemp quoted

"There's a lot of talent internationally that is still not being evaluated properly or seen in the right way," Kemp said. "So, I like some of the $10,000 guys we got. ... The talent versus the bonus sometimes -- there can be some value there."

"That's kind of the fun part," Kemp added. "We're undertaking that part right now. "I have a feeling we'll get a couple of big leaguers out of that group."

Rooting for Wood, you have to give up something to get something and let’s hope Soto helps bring us a title while Wood becomes a star with the Nats

Wood is probably the best of all the prospects traded for Soto/Bell.  Only chinks in the armor I saw was his hand/wrist injuries and occasionally showing too much of a laid back attitude in the field.  The latter may be because he does this so effortlessly that it seems he's not going full bore all the time, which is something I like to see in a young prospect.  Potentially, great power and looks to have a decent hit tool for average if he stays patient within the strike zone.  Likely slow down as he ages, but still those long strides around the base paths are impressive.

Interesting rankings from a Dynasty Fantasy Baseball perspective

* Kind of lose respect for anyone who doesn't rank Salas in top 3.. and 💯  lose ot when he is #10.. but at least he gives us some insight on our prospects

Keep an eye on Tirso in 2023.. He could take a huge step foward and who knows..

Not sure which Verdugo is being cited but these are not Alex Verdugo's (Boston Red Sox) stats from last year.  Besides, there is nothing to see here. As much as I and of the course the Padres have hoped Ornelas would get to some power in his swing, he still hit the ball on the ground in the high 40's to mid-50's per cent the last 3 years and never hit more than 7 HRs in a season.  He is not good defender in the OF  so where would you play him and what little speed he had is now just average at best.   Has a great baseball body and from what I've seen on TV, his teammates love him but just don't see him ever getting to the majors unless he changes his swing, elevates the ball and hits the ball with much more hard contact.  El Paso may make him look better stats-wise but it is not a true test for a hitter otherwise we'd be touting Brandon Dixon as the next Aaron Judge and not looking for better bench depth.
