Quote from WindsorUK on April 21, 2019, 12:04 pmDon't know if anyone noticed but Albert Pujols just passed .......wait for it...........BABE RUTH for career RBI! That is monumental - 1994 runs plated! Very impressive( granted, RBI didn't become an official stat until 6 years into Ruth's career)
Next on the list is the Iron Horse, then Baroid Bonds and Alex Roidriguez.
The Hammer is at the top of that list still, thank goodness.

Pretty significant career accomplishment to pass that name! And the next 2 guys are < 10 RBI ahead, so he'll be #3 all time soon

Quote from fenn68 on May 2, 2019, 6:00 amKluber breaks his right forearm (hit by line drive) ... should be out for some length of time since that is the "stress" arm while pitching. Add that Clevenger is already out for months plus the Indians still have a sub-optimal OF ... the favorites for the AL Central are now in trouble. MINN's stock is way up.
Given Cleveland's desire to lower payroll ... they may throw in the towel early (June) and make some trades to clear the roster (think Bauer). On the flip side, MINN should be feeling optimistic and could make some trades to give them an even better shot to close out the AL Central (and maybe actually progress in the playoffs).
Team fortunes can change quickly.

Quote from MrPadre19 on May 3, 2019, 7:09 pmBoy that Pirates/Rays trade for Archer could really end up on the list of worse ever.
Glasnow could make the Rays go back to back on Cy Young’s this season.
Meadows was playing well before he got hurt and will be back soon.
Meanwhile Archer has been very average.
The Pirates seem to never really know what they have in a player....other than McCutcheon and they even let
him go too soon.

That franchise either has the worst ownership since Loria or Huntington is incompetent.
