6th round ... college LHH OF .. Jacob Marsee ... Central Michigan so a mid level program ... 6' 180

Hitterish outfielder whose displayed consistently elite contact rates and chase rates in his three years at Central Michigan. A thick, strong-bodied outfielder, Marsee is a decent runner who's likely destined for a corner role at the next level. He's got an average to above-average arm that profiles fine at any spot. Marsee has fringe average power, though he continues to get stronger and has shown the ability to pull and lift the baseball. Scouts like the hit tool quite a bit

Out of these last few picks ..I think the 18 yr old Catcher is going to get "over slot"..been reading he has been rising quite a bit lately and that his College commitment is strong but not guaranteed

7th round ... Nick Vogt ... OF, U Santa Barbara .. RHH ... 6'1" / 185

Vogt does a lot of things well, especially at the plate. He absolutely pummels fastballs, though breaking balls can get him in trouble at times. He posts healthy exit velocities across the board and showcases strong bat-to-ball skills. That said, he can get a bit streaky with strikeouts. Vogt likely ends up in left field as a pro and has a chance to go on day two.

8th round ... Griffen Doersching ... RHH 1B, College SR ... 6'4"/251

9th round ... Dylan Nedved ... RHP, College ...

10th round ... Jackson Smeltz ... LHP College Sr.

Seems like a good upside picks at the top.

What is to me unusual for Preller in the first 10 rounds ... TWO 1B/DH types (Martorella and Doersching) and no middle INF.

I really love the arms we drafted with the first 4 selections. Every one of them feels like they have a chance at making an impact on our system within the next two years. Lamar King Jr. is a very intriguing pick, too. Most of the rest felt rather under-slotish, probably to afford some bargaining room with the first 4 guys.

I think we're all feeling rather hungry for offense, but if waiting until the 4th to grab a bat means getting arms like this with our first 4 picks, I'm all in.

The new DH in the NL maybe has something to do with..or the absurd abundance of Mid Inf we have in the system at the moment.. look for him to go INF heavy on INT'L signings.. he has added a lot of OFers and C (i am including Ethan Salas this yr Intl) ..he took care of P big time this draft.. so why not add Bat 1st guys this year.. if there is one skill lacking or that we are short on in our system is the BIG power guys
