Well not announcing roster moves until the last minute is the Padres’ style.

Possible a move is “pending” but all the paperwork is not done … so they don’t jump the gun. Would seem something more than two adds and two players optioned.

Then again:

Baez replaces Martinez who is on paternity leave

NO Myers … I guess still in EP?

Marte … SEA #1 … MLB #18

Arroyo … SEA #3 … MLB #93

Stoudt … SEA #5

Moore … not ranked

Nice return off a very good Seattle farm system. Takes SEA out of the running for Soto.

Glad to see Seattle get Castillo.

Keep him away from St Louis and others and out of the NL.

4 more days to find out.

Padres website is "reporting the Musgrove extension as very close (source), so you would have to think this is a done deal. Somewhere in the $100M range for 5 years.

$105M is my guess, $21M in CBT average.
