Too many base runners left stranded so far again today.
Our guys need better plans when they walk to the dish with runners in scoring position.

Paddack has only allowed "three" hits in his first two major league starts yet is still 0-0.

Our O is looking incredibly anoemic so far.
Hopefully the rust falls off their bats soon as I'd hate to waste the exceptional starting pitching we've had so far.

Have I made it clear that I love this Team this year?
It just seems different.
The entire team went to dinner together the first night In St Louis.
You can just see how tightly knit this group is by the way they react to each other.
It’s gonna be “amazing” when this team makes the playoffs!

Cordero left yesterday's game with a "twinge" in his surgically repaired elbow .... removal was reported as precautionary but apparently he has had some discomfort in that elbow all season which maybe should be expected.
Pending further review BUT if that becomes and IL issue .... Padres are a bit squeezed in CF ... Margot getting the major starts with Myers as needed but no real CF (worthy of ML time now) in AAA/AA. Also, takes a LHH out of the line-up.
If the Padres just made a "call-up" I guess Pirela would be the option as OF/INF but not LHH. Doubt it would be Naylor (not on 40 man) to sit on the bench. How about a long shot .... add Dickerson (LHH) ... a quality hitter with experience to PH and LF as needed when Myers is in CF. Might depend IF the IL is short term or long term.
I guess Jankowski will not be around until late June - July.

As frustrating as the offense has been overall ... they have the 9th best OPS in the NL (up from 13th in 2018) ... basically they are "average" so far in the season and Machado has not really heated up. Glad you are not a CINN fan with the 15th OPS at .509.
Pitching (ERA) is 4th best in the NL and SP is 2nd best .... who would have thunk it!

You don't win the division or the pennant in April but you sure can put yourself in a deep hole if you are 10 games under .500. This team will jell as the season goes on and as long as they play .500 ball or close to it in April and May it should be a fun summer at Petco
