I get that Vlad Jr. has a great hit tool. However, how can they say he is a better prospect that Tatis Jr. The speed that he plays with is just crazy. He just scored on one hopper to the pitcher!! Wow!

Agree .... 5 outstanding tools > just a hit tool no matter how good. Tatis presents value even when in a hitting slump ... Vlad?

I just get frustrated listening to the National talking heads drool over Vlad Jr and rarely mention Tatis Jr.

Clearly it is time to get away from Margevicius in the ML. Was surprised he made the ML roster ... was more surprised with his start (agree capitalized on being an unknown) ... not surprised the league caught up and he got sent down .... again surprised he was recalled ... not surprised he has been pummeled ... and will not be surprised if he is sent back down ASAP.

I would expect Paddack back for that last SP slot (think Saturday which I think is after his 10 day window). However, not sure if Lamet is stretched out enough to get the call which at some point is a possibility. After that, with some 40 man roster calls, it has to be getting close to taking a look at L.Allen in the ML setting.

Lucchesi - Lauer - Strahm - Quantrill - PTNL (Paddack, Lamet, L.Allen) ... I guess in a crisis we could see Perdomo and / or Diaz in starting roles. Not sure I see any under the radar options in AAA or AA that would be better.

Is Coors the best offensive park by a large margin? There are a great deal of band boxes in the NL - Cincy, Philly, St. Louis, Pittsburgh- but Colorado must be disproportionately ahead in runs, HR's, slugging.

Actually, I think that BAL with its short fences is easier to go out than Coors. Plus BAL pitching staff makes Marg look like a CY contender. The problem with Coors is the elevation and dry air take movement off of breaking pitches and the extremely large outfield allows a lot of hits.

Cheers Booster.

Didn't consider the lack of movement on pitches. Obviously a big consideration.

Don't understand Green pulling Perdomo. He's on point and hasn't gotten through the lineup twice.

He had another inning in him.

He has only gone 3 twice this season (and once got creamed) maybe combine that (he was at 2 2/3) with wanting him available tomorrow against MILW made a case of pushing the out limits.

Agree and add that balls carry about 9% further at Coors due to the altitude ... so fences further back don't really prevent balls going out but just add a greater OF to cover resulting in more in-play hits. The lack of movement due to the dry air and more balls are hit hard. The perfect scenario for hitters.

Maton and Margevicious can share a cab to the Southwest terminal. One way tickets hopefully.

I know we're short of arms in the pen but Maton just isn't good enough.

Maybe as a closer but certainly not in a set up role.

And Renfroe AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Number 23

GARCIA!!!!!
