Ugh!
Even when we had really bad offensive teams they 've being able to score a bunch of runs in those Coors field series, 7 runs in 23 innings is just pathetic

Quote from MrPadre19 on May 15, 2019, 4:56 amWell that was disappointing.
Dodger hitters are just too patient.
Usually Paddack puts guys away with 95 up or a change that drops to their toes but the Dodgers were laying
off these pitches or fouling them off...forcing his pitch count up and to come in over the plate, which they took advantage of for two two
run homers.

Same old. LAD vs Pads shows the gap: even with a million guys on DL we are in all the games. Hard to understate the value of having Tatis & pretty soon Urias vs. no offense to ex. Ty France & Greg Garcia...
... but the LAD are PROFESSIONAL hitters. They have clearly exposed a glaringly obvious weakness of the Pads; everyone knows Paddack & Strahm are on pitch/inning limits for game & season, so just get them out of the game into overworked under-reliable bullpen.
Article recently highlighted how Hedges & Myers cede their RH vs LHP advantage back to the pitcher by their inflexible approaches. Today it's how Franmil changed his extremely effective 2nd 1/2 approach and is now swinging way more... despite being pitched basically the same # of strikes. It's just the same thing over and over and over... young guys getting their first... 300? 500? AB I can live with. Do not understand someone like Myers. You can steal 30 bases, but you're just going to free swing at everything to try to hit HR to earn a big contract.... oh, wait you've already GOTTT the contract! WHYYY can't someone convince these guys to try something different?

Quote from 84padres on May 16, 2019, 10:38 am5 ER in 2 games and lost both. Bad offence , we must play almost perfect game to beat Dodgers and we aren't there yet. Need Tatis and some kind of offence from 2nd base and catcher. I know this a building year and will try to be patient

Quote from WindsorUK on May 17, 2019, 12:15 amAny thought of swapping Reyes and Hosmer in the lineup?
Franmil in the two hole is constantly coming up with empty bases.
Or move Machado to 2 and Hosmer to 3, Reyes to 4?
Just gotta give our best HR threat ducks on the pond.
