Eh I kind of disagree. We’re hitting with more power than I’m used to seeing. The issue is we aren’t stringing together enough hits and all the home runs it seems is with no one on base. As the case with tonight 3 solo home runs. Gotta learn to hit the ball to all fields a franimal has displayed

I don’t know the numbers exactly but my guess is we rank at the bottom of these categories.

Quantrill will be added tomorrow (apparently) with a corresponding 25 and 40 man roster move (or moves). The 25 man move likely is a pitcher but who? That is still 14 pitchers and 11 position players.

Just to add some fuel to the concept of additional moves (here or in EP) ... EP just activated from their IL a couple of players: Quiroz (2B/SS) and Powell (OF) and as yet have not made the corresponding offset. They will not be added to the Padres BUT could that imply action with Urias or Naylor / Dickerson?

Of course since this is May 1, could just be an issue created by May 1 opt outs from a couple of the minor leaguers in AAA (if they have them). Or maybe some yet to be disclosed injuries.

I believe both can be 30+ HR guys. Whilst neither is Mays in the field, their bats are NECESSARY in our feeble lineup.

What about Myers, you ask? As much as I enjoy Wil's game - when he's on! - at this point, even with our lack of minor league depth, I'd be willing to eat salary and move on. Unless he can become an every day CF, he's surplus to requirements.

I'm not much higher on Margot at this point either. We're 3 years into the Manny experiment and he's looking like Stanley Jefferson part 2. I can't wait for Freddy and Franchy to be healthy.

I’m OK with Renfroe and Reyes playing everyday but there may come a time when we have to trade one.

Doubt we would have a taker for anyone else in our OF.

I'm sure AJ is trying to sell one or more to bring in a P. I'd be bummed to see either Hunter or Franmil traded as I think they'll both blow up somewhere else. Prefer to see them do that in San Diego.
