Another wake up to a walk off!

Sleep away!

I have said this before and I will say it again. Winning games against the Dodgers is huge for our playoff chances. Knowing that you can beat the Dodgers at PETCO or at dodger stadium is a huge boost to the teams confidence in the playoffs. baby steps for sure. But bigger going into the playoffs knowing you can beat them than going in looking to break the winless streak

Nola is back. Pierce Johnson was activated. Reiss Knehr has been sent down and Matt Beaty was DFA'D.

On to game #2 LFGSDP! Time to win the series!

Looks like 1st half Snell is back.

And once again, Machado only offense.

Any chance Soto will join the party anytime soon?

No No Joe for the Series Win today... only one thing left to say Lets Fng Go San Diego Padres!

The Soto situation is just getting worse (and was not good from the start in SD).

Last 7 day: 150/292/150 … only 3 BB. It seems as though the pitchers got the word on his struggles and are now just going right after him … and he is not connecting.

His early Padre saving grace was the high BB rate … getting on base ahead of Machado … but now that even has evaporated.

For one of the best hitters in MLB over his career … this is a long slump since arriving from WASH and no idea how he turns around.

How long will Melvin keep him in the #2 slot?

.346 .433 .462 at least Bell (last 7 games) is getting hot...

Offense has been scoring at a solid clip since KC game 1... despite Soto (slump) and Drury (inj) not doing much over that period..Manny had a little dry spell (3 or 4 games) in there too.. But the rest of the guys picked up the slack...

Just need to stay consistent in this Petco 4 to 6 runs a game we are in now..and continue to do our 5+ runs on the road ..Lets Go!

I'm starting to wonder if Soto's mechanics aren't just slightly off. It seems like he's rolling over on a ton of balls and hitting a lot of pop ups. He hit .322 over an almost 200 game span from 2020-21. That's second to only Trea Turner and he had the highest OPS in baseball over that span. I don't think bad luck alone accounts for a decline to .240. The vision is obviously still there, but something just seems off. It's a testament to how good he is that this is considered a bad season for him though.

Mostly I feel the same way about Soto that I did about Hader. He's going to figure it out. He's too good not to. Hopefully it happens sooner than later.
