I guess Im in the minority thinking we should have seen some improvement bringing in Melvin. To be honest, I think Tingler and Green would be very similar in standings as Melvin this season. And we are not really playing that much better in September over last season, especially taking in account for the massive pitching injuries suffered last season in the final months, which did in Tingler.

So as I said in my opening statement. The final push in September and the performance in the playoffs will count heavily into my season assessment of Melvin. But so far, very unimpressed with his leadership, especially with his incoming reputation. $3M for a manager is a lot, for not much difference IMO.
