PADRES VS. ASTROS

So a team finally gets some hits off of Greinke and there’s gotta be something wrong with the mound?

Obviously he was Ok with it the first 3 innings?

As Mud is saying, some good Ol Fashioned gamesmanship going on by Grienke

nice job starting Crone to keep out of double play and tie the game

I blame Patino for digging a new slot after his entry. Clear sabotage of Greinke by the Padres!

Giving him too much credit. Kind of thing announcers / fans bring up when overthinking.

Just got annoyed with the mound feel and said needs to be fixed. Usually see a pitcher do that with the landing foot when the opposing pitcher makes a different grove but also happens with the rubber slot.

Much todo about nothing.

This Cronenworth kid might be a keeper. Expect some fade but looking at his plate discipline and the fact as a rookie ... out of 202 MLB players with 70+ PA ... he sit a 16th BEST with lowest K% (12.7) and 74th BEST with highest BB% (10.1).

Those plate discipline skills and some solid defensive skills alone will keep him at 2B for some time.

Has to be NL ROY leading candidate.

Yes and no, if it was to start the mound or after a batter or two. Yes normal stuff. But the fact it was after 3 or 4 hits and two runs, it was also a little gamesmanship as well.

Torrens really got his bell rung on a foul tip ... a couple of innings later he is removed from the game.

Wonder if he is going through concussion protocol? Hopefully not warranting an IL stint and the day off tomorrow settles him back in ... and likely Hedges goes on Tuesday.

IF the IL ... Mejia can't come off his IL until the 27th (apparently progressing well) ... so really 2 games (25th/26th) at risk. Would they rely on France to back-up Hedges for those games? Padres have the room to add Rivas if Mejia is not coming soon and Torrens is out the full 7 days.

Quantril pitching well....pull him out.

Is this dude Andy Green's brother?

Obviously Preller has chosen each of his past 2 managers based on the idea they'll do exactly what he tells them what to do.

Hope it's not the same outcome.

And now Stammen in a tie game.

I hope I’m wrong but this worries me......
