With no money being involved, I'd say Pham, Paddack, Morejon.

With money, too many possible scenarios to consider.

Cubs need cash relief and an infusion of youth, mixed with MLB experience. Here they get everything.

Does this flurry of moves push the Dodgers to sign Bauer?

Are they going to anyway?

I did see they were in on Bauer and LeMahieu.

Who wouldn’t want to sign with the Dodgers of the money is right?

Anyone have their current payroll number as compared to ours right now?

Per Rosenthal Caratini is part of the deal and Campy is not.

Looking more and more like Morejon, Davies, and ______ (maybe 2 other prospects) for Yu, Caratini and $$ (how much depends on the prospects)

Dont forget he is 34

Dodgers are around $190MM vs. the Padres around $140MM.

For luxury tax purposes LAD are around $197MM, only $13MM under ... Bauer wants big money and now a long term deal apparently. LAD also have to consider Seager is a FA after the season and may want to save some ammo to sign a big time SS.

Not sure the Padres’ moves are enough to rattle the LAD ... yet since they were the champs and won the NL West by a lot.

Well Davies at $8-9MM in 2021 nets Darvish down to about $14-15MM in 2021. Would guess any other contribution would be to do some offset for Darvish in 2022-23.

Payroll would push $160MMish if you consider what Kim should get.

SP Darvish, Snell (L), Lamet, Paddack, Gore (L)? Not much payroll left for another SP add

If Campy not involved, then it's basically only money because Darvish will outpitch Morejon in the next 3 years and our rotation will be one of the best in baseball!  I'm starting to get excited about 2021 and you know the Padres players are looking at these additions and are whooping and hollering!  Sure we'll miss Patino, Davies and Morejon but in 2022 we throw out a former Cy Young winner and possibly 3 others that are Cy Young worthy, so what's not to like.  Even 2021 will be very very competitive even if there is no Clevinger.  Let's play two!

So....this year Lamet/Snell/Darvish/Paddack/Gore?

2022 Lamet/Snell/Darvish/Clevinger/Gore/Weathers/Lawson

So I was thinking.....does Paddack become the next dominant Padre Closer?

He has a great fastball/change up combo.....to this point no great 3rd pitch...and has the intensity that’s needed.

What do you think?

Davies is officially part of the deal.

So far announced is Darvish and Caratini for Davies and prospects

Probably Cronenworth is beyond prospect status but Morejon is not.  I'm thinking Morejon, Marcano and one other player, probably a young OF like Mears or Ornelas.

So, Caratini is Darvish's personal catcher?

That gives Nola every 5th day off, plus when any lefty starts against us, I imagine Tingler will follow the numbers and get Nola more time off?

Should keep him fresh for October.
