Dickerson dominates AAA....struggles in MLb.
Urias dominates in AAA......not promoted.
I completely hate that there is zero correlation between success in AAA and success in MLB because of the League we play in.
And that the exact opposite is true for our pitchers.
Ill say it again.....we need a AAA affiliate that plays like Petco.
It’s gotta be frustrating for the players as well.

Quote from MrPadre19 on May 19, 2019, 10:45 amI just have never understood why a franchise would not want their AAA affiliate to play like the MLB team.....both hitting and pitching.
Heck even the field dimensions for that matter.
If it were me if I ran the Red Sox I’d have my AAA Park sport a Green Monster.

Best our players know how to do it before they get here.

He’s only 19 and looking pretty good.
What’s the Scouting report on him?

Not a scouting report (which I second a request for :-)) ... from today's DFR about yesterday's TinCaps game ...
The system’s best pitching performance of the night belonged to teenager RHP Efraín Contreras. Not only was his stat line for the game impressive, but no batter reached second base until a one-out double in the sixth inning. Although Contreras’s 3.55 ERA and 40:8 strikeout-to-walk ratio are overshadowed on the staff by Ryan Weathers sitting among league leaders in most pitching categories, the Juarez native has impressed a year after opening his first professional season in the Dominican Summer League.

Quote from LynchMob on May 22, 2019, 10:10 pmI expect MDiaz to get the call to help in the Padres' pen this season ... not sure if today's line helps or hurts ...
4 innings of relief ... good!
9 Ks and 0 walks ... good!
5 hits ... OK ... except ... 5 HRs ... say what???

Saw that stat line too... just bizarre; especially in AA (not AAA or A+).... ??
He should be extremely close to being activated off 60-day DL; likely optioned to AA or AAA. I'd like to see him just keep starting & getting more pitches/workload than as a 1-2 inning RP.
