Any update on Franchy?

Why did Weathers only go two innings?

Please tell me he isn’t hurt!

Today's Daily Farm Report sez ...

Ryan Weathers was removed from the opener of Sunday’s doubleheader after only two effective innings. While there’s no information from the Padres, he looked just a bit awkward fielding a comebacker for the final out he recorded. It didn’t appear major, but the TinCaps got Tom Colletti up early in the top of the third. More info as it becomes available.

I really hope he is fine

Since the TinCaps were off today, no update. Expect there will be more info tomorrow.

Sounds like it’s time to move Gore to AA and Weathers to LE.

Seems as though the Padres like to give about 10 (maybe a start or two more) before they bump them up .... looks like what they did with Paddack, Lauer, and Lucchesi for their jumps from A+ to AA.

I would guess that may be on or about June 1.

I'd guess before that. Something closer to the Kennedy and De Los Santos timeline in 2016.

How long until Olivares is our Centerfielder?

2020?

57 XBH's in 2017 and 54 last year.

Double digit 2b's,3b's and HR's....add SB's and he's a quadruple Double kind of guy.

Is his Defense above average?

I'm not a fan of Philip Wellman, Sod Poodles' manager ... what does "We preach shut down innings here" mean?

Shouldn't every inning be a "shut down inning" if it's possible for a "shut down inning" to exist?

I guess it's like "clutch" ... but ... iirc ... Tony Gwynn tried to be "clutch" *EVERY AT BAT*!

And now today, he's making more sense ...

said Wellman. “The key is to be consistent and repeat the level of intensity and focus that we played with tonight and be able to do it more often.

It's about focusing on a quick, scoreless inning after your team gets the lead. It's hardly a new concept.

He's expected to make his regularly-scheduled turn Sunday.
