He is 27, not a kid in baseball terms. A little too old for the league if you ask me

Arizona Complex League Padres Roster released just before midnight. As indicated earlier, Acosta and Zavala headline the team, along with Beltre, Adrian Perez. INF's Rosman Verdugo and Juan Murillo surprise stateside roster adds from international 2022 signings.
On the pitching side, Susana may be the only 2022 signing unless Madrazo beings here vice San Antonio, as earlier reported. Haynes still on the 60 IL list, but look for Saba and possibly one of last year's international signees, Sweeting or Yeatman, to get off to a fast start. It will be interesting to see if former INF Justin Lopez makes the transition to pitcher.
This roster will likely be impacted greatly after the July draft. Remember there is a limit of active minor leaguers that may be in the minor league system at any one time - I believe it is 180 but does not include Dominican Summer League players.

Esteury with his first AAA HR today.
Also,I see we traded for Ike Freeman a couple days ago.
Not a prospect but does anyone know anything about this trade?
Lastly,anyone have a scouting report on Carlos Luis?
Listed as a SS on Milb but it looks like he’s only played 3b/1b.

Moises Lugo strike out 6 yesterday in 2 2/3 innings. I believe he was hitting 95-96 as a starter last year. If he can cut down on walks he should be ready for bullpen within next yr or 2.
