For now, assuming everyone I don't see on an active roster is injured. Know Ona, Lawson, and Contreras are injured .... no insight on Little.

Looks as though some of the more highly ranked "young" pitching prospects are being developed in Peoria to start the year ... Lange, Haynes, a couple of the Latin arms. As a result, maybe some "lesser" ranked prospects who are also "young" are getting the first shot in low A.

Also, not sure if there is any impact for the Latin players who spent 2020 and the winter in the Dominican ... possible getting a lot more work than any players who ended up just "working out" in the states over that same timeframe.

Fenn's right.  Ona on MLB IL since ST (3/29).  Lawson is about 14 months post TJ surgery, so maybe around mid-season?

Contreras just had TJ in November, so he'll be out all season.

MiLB.com (and the affiliate home pages) lost stuff in the new "enhance" version.

I can find the team rosters on their home pages ... some if you open the "..." at the end of the header and select team or roster, depends. Some have that on the header row. Still can click on the player and get his stats but can't find any team stats with all the players. Also, lost the player search function ... at least can't find it.

Not sure those who redesigned the pathing ever use the site to find info.

However, Baseball America provides the roster and team summary stats by player with free access. Not sure on their source for the roster ... few cases looks different than the websites'. Might have to do with some players being "active" and other not I guess. Again some coding issues since on the Padres' ML roster Musgrove is an OF and Nola is an INF.

Let us just call both sites a work in progress.

That showed for example the released guys & Brady Feigl being assigned from El Paso to San Antonio on 5/3... but he wasn't on the announced opening day roster, so nowhere to check right now.

The MIA (possibly injured) players probably wouldn't show up on rosters yet b/c they technically may not have been "assigned" yet, but as the season progresses, the rosters Madfriars linked to were a good "at a glance" source of info.  The transactions in each league, and team & league stats  used to show up on the scoreboard/milb page too, but different format now. Obviously all the leagues are recalibrated now.  Pretty big project to re-organize, but once it's done, should be like past years to maintain/update.

Possible (but unlikely) they just remain in the twilight zone in El Paso as an “alternate site” non-roster player. El Paso will have to make some roster deletions to fit all three under their roster limit.

Don’t know the rules but I guess it is possible EL Paso (as the alternate site) has their own taxi squad that shuffle between active and inactive to keep everyone sharp ... and a body of players if some are needed in SD. Still guessing players from AA and below are ineligible to be called up ... at least for now.

This year AAA have a 28 man “active” roster (I think) so if they can’t call up players for AA makes sense there is a group of extras working with them as part of that “bubble”.

No real idea ... just speculation.
