Cueteo always a tough matchup. Seems like we face him constantly, but not "these" Padres?
Myers 3-20, 1 HR Machado 4-11, 2 HR Garcia 2-7 all others </= 2 AB vs him
I'd probably DH Garcia, start Castro. Try to "patience" him out of game by 5th/6th...

Cueto much better against RH hitters versus LH hitters with a WHIP of over 0.7 higher when facing the latter (1.64 to 0.97). Concur that we need to see Castro in the line-up but might go with Almonte over Garcia because Tingler really likes Garcia's bat off the bench. With Grisham, Moreland, Cronenworth, Castro and Profar probably enough lefties to make a difference so Almonte can get his shot.

Hard to keep a hot bat out of the line-up - Nola at 1b vice Garcia or Almonte.

Game postponed.
No explanation yet given but normally(if there is anything normal this season) this means a Covid situation.

That would be my guess .... especially since players were not heading back to the clubhouse and had masks on on the field after the postponement.

Of course moments after MLB releases the news that they have had zero positives for players in the last 12 days, we have our game postponed due to a positive test. Impeccable timing by MLB.

Depending on the specifics ... could have tomorrow's game (and maybe Sunday's) postponed.
Could set up a double header on Sunday. Both teams have the 17th off (SD still in SD after the LAD series but SF would have to come back from Seattle.
I guess they could have a set of doubleheaders IN SF since the finish the season with each other if those games mean anything to playoff seeding OR that off day scheduled after the season is also a possibility.
Not a good scenario at this point in the season .... if the remaining schedule is altered ... Padres will have to be creative in line-ups while preserving a rotation of the playoffs.

Obviously I look forward to these games way too much.
Very disappointing when they can’t play but that’s the world we currently live in.
On the bright side I’m going to get some sleep.

According to Dennis Lin MLB has cancelled tomorrow’s game as well.
Please let’s play 2 on Sunday.....
