Quote from MrPadre19 on May 7, 2019, 3:15 pmSo Paddack is basically on a 90 pitch count.
Please don’t let him be staring at the first Padres no hitter in the 8th at 90 pitches and they pull him.
Am I the only one that sees this happening?

4:53 Jason: Is Chris Paddack still on an innings limit?
4:53 Brad Johnson: Technically, it’s a little more complicated than an innings limit.
4:54 Brad Johnson: They might talk about it that way publicly, but it’s really more of a complex stress measurement.

Mr. P, Fiers threw 130+ pitches in his no-hitter. Paddack is a K pitcher, so he'd probably be up around 120-125.... there's simply no way Pads let him do that. Let's survive this year & take the reins off next year.

Quote from MrPadre19 on May 23, 2019, 11:08 amSo as the Season goes on what do you guys see as the plan for Paddack?
Do they just shut him down for the Season when he reaches his innings limit?
Do they start to skip him in the rotation to get him further into the Season?
Do they start to piggyback him with someone else and basically make him an "Opener" at some point?
If they did this I still say pitch him and Strahm on the same day to get thru 6-7 innings.
What does everyone think the strategy will be?

I like the opener aproach with Logan Allen because he would be a great contrast to Paddock and could get 8 or all 9 innings. Then you could match up Strahm with Lamet if he is able to pitch this year. Makes 2 good righty lefty pairs with different styles

Quote from MrPadre19 on May 23, 2019, 12:35 pmThat's true...better to pair with a guy on no limit so you may be able to get all 9 with just the two.
Although Lamet will also be limited right?
Maybe Paddack/Allen and Strahm/Quantrill.
