Quote from fenn68 on May 8, 2019, 10:34 amSaw some "interesting" commentary on Keuchel and the potential for him signing after the draft (post- comp pick).
One report suggested that Keuchel will still push for a multi-year deal and not just a deal for the rest of the season to hit FA again. Also, it is HIS idea while Boras recommended the one-year approach.
Money / length is always the debate ... but if all those analytical types in ML front offices have already recommended against Keuchel based on his declining peripherals ... why would that change in June? If Keuchel holds his stance for a long term deal he may be sitting out 2019 which actually may be better for him if (without a legit ST) he can't deliver if he showed up in the 2nd half of 2019.

Quote from WindsorUK on May 10, 2019, 12:50 amOn his 639th career HR, Albert Pujols drives in run 2000!
2000 RBI!!!!!!
He now stands 86 shy of Aroid.....and over 200 behind the Hammer. Whilst I doubt he'll ever catch Aaron, should he remain healthy, he should move into second place on the All-Time list sometime next season.
What an absolutely GREAT career. Surely he must be in the Top 10 All-Time when we talk about offensive players?

Is Josh the kid who had the health issues a few years back?

Because of that contract he signed and the drop off in,especially, batting average,we tend to forget how dominant Albert was his first 10 years in this league.
His production has become "average" but man,he completely dominated for a decade.
Best RH hitters ever:
Aaron
Pujols
Mays
Trout(based on current trajectory)
Frank Thomas(before injuries)
Ricky Henderson
Frank Robinson
Clemente
Schmidt
ManRam(higher if not for PED's)
Post war era.
Just my opinion

Quote from MrPadre19 on May 10, 2019, 1:24 pmYeah I thought about putting him ahead of Schmidt and maybe even Clemente but Roberto is my favorite all time player so wanted
him on my list somewhere.

I think you are thinking of Drew Cumberland.

Well, isnt that what makes baseball fun! Different opinions, and thoughts when it comes to players through the ages and how they compare to each other in the eyes of different fans. I look forward to the day where can have beers and talk baseball in person Mr. P
