rotoworld/nbc sez ...

Dodgers placed RHP Blake Treinen on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to April 19, with right shoulder discomfort.

Treinen hasn't pitched in over a week and the Dodgers have decided to go ahead and put him on the IL. It's not clear at this point how much time he might miss, but obviously it's a major blow to the team's bullpen.

THIS ...

... is a beautiful thing!!!

Now THIS is why we all follow this game....

What a wonderful achievement for one of the great masters!

Congratulations Miguel Cabrera!

Who's next to 3000? Anyone want to venture a pick?

Looks like Cano(2600+) and Molina(2100+) are next on the list, then Votto at 2000.

After that, it's pretty slim pickings.

Maybe Votto?????

Edit: Actually,  Manny is the youngest guy towards the top of the list. 1500 hits in his age 29 season( 11th). If he plays another 10?????

Votto would have to have 5 years at 200 hits per year....Cano is done and Molina will probably retire after this year....just can't really think of any pure hitters in MLB anymore

Sad but true.......

Max Scherzer with 10 K’s against the Cardinals.

Which is the 106th time he’s struck out 10 or more.

106!

😳

Really is incredible. Obviously a HOF'er. I thought he would be decent out of college, but never nothing like what he has turned into lol

Ty France. Cal Quantrill. Trea Turner. Eric Lauer. Franmil Reyes. Matt Brash. David Bednar. Andres Munoz. Luis Urias. Max Fried. Zach Eflin. Owen Miller. Not to mention guys like Joe Ross, Luis Patino, Francisco Mejia, etc.

Lots of guys out there contributing to their new clubs. I don't blame or dislike Preller for taking such big swings, but man... it sure feels like we've traded away a championship-caliber squad in exchange for one that... well... can't hit.
