Around the League...non Padres

IF the Padres rename/rebrand ... might they consider ... TopGuns?  Just a thought ... that I like 🙂

Patiño dominating the Yankees and beating Gerrit Cole.

Gotta love it!!

And on the lighter side....

Why in the world the imbeciles in the pen didn't open that door in the first place, to allow the cat to leave the playing field( as the broadcasters were also encouraging them to do), is beyond me.

The dumbing down of baseball is spreading.

Just wait until Cole Wilcox and Patino are doing it in back to back games.......ugh......

San Diego native Cole Hamels signs with the Dodgers. I wonder how much he has left?

Pretty sure I'd rather face Hamels than May or Bauer or Buehler....

Another living legend gone too soon.

For those too young to remember, JR WAS literally larger than life! 6'8" in a time when 6'2 or 6'3" was considered big.

That stroke he had really derailed the Astros from being champs - legitimately!- much earlier.

Reading the article, I didn't realize Bob Watson had passed as well.

Boyhood heroes are going fast.....

I saw this note/comment about Cal Quantrill after last night's 10 Ks in 7 IP vs Detroit ...

In his last five starts he has a 0.90 ERA and 0.97 WHIP. The team he beat, the Tigers, haven't been patsies of late. Since July 1 they've scored more runs than any team in baseball.

So, you're saying he's out pitching Clevinger????🤣🤣🤣

I sure hope this isn't another trade that bites us in the butt.....especially seeing as we need all the young, controllable pitching we can get.

We will see over time if Quantrill is the real deal.

I can recall the fan outcry (negative) when he was drafted … the calls to get rid of him after lackluster minors and fringe ML work.

Really hard to project pitchers since never know when (if) command comes around to complement quality stuff.
