Also we didn't have Snell for like the 1st 2 months and Clev missed a bunch of starts to begin 2022 as well... We should have Snell from day 1.. which will also help..

I'll believe that when I see it.

Hopefully he trains a little this offseason, instead of being Gamer Snellzilla!

Physical I meant..he had the hamstring lingering stuff from last 2021 season..

I still think that AJP might deal him if he is able to add 2 SP (1 FA 1 trade??) While retaining Nick beyond 2023.. If the plan is to extend Yu and let Snell walk next offseason..and we could replace Snell with say Senga..and add +1 + Martinez.. moving Snell now > value and sets continuity of SP 5 for 23 24 and beyond .. Just a way to make our available $$ go further by adding and subtracting while addressing other needs/upgrades

Wouldn't it be more likely we extend Snell and let Yu walk?

Darvish will be almost 38 going into the 2024 season....Snell will just be 31.

I just can't see us extending a 38 year old....unless he has a great 23' and its a one year extension maybe?

Word on the street is that Padres would like to extend Yu and let Snell walk in favor of a better "inning eater".. I believe Dennis Lin or Acee wrote about it last couple days.. if that is indeed the plan and we can add 2 SP + Nick Mart.. I think moving Snell to save $$ and fill a different need with someone beyond just 23 might be the way to go..

Also remember the Bridge to our SP studs is between 2 1/2 and 4 yrs..so adding SP that covers 5 .(along with Joe) and then 2 or 3 that fit in that 3 yrs span would be ideal as the kids begin to push for starts..

Forget Joc.. not giving up a 2nd and 4th (penalty for over CBT tax x2 ) for signing him..and $19,65 mil QO he might be crazy not accepting that

Joc got a qualifying offer. I think he'd be a fool not to take it. Even if he doesn't I wouldn't want to give up the draft picks for him. Cross him off the list.

Contreras and maybe Rodon the two FA I be in on for the comp.. the rest can go kick rocks..with other options out there..ie Abreu/Bell vs Rizzo.. Senga vs most the other SPs.. etc..

Choi traded to the Pirates.

Jack Hartman P.. to the Rays.. he is not even a top 30 spec..wtf.. that would be like us trading Waldron (who is #30) for Choi.. missed opportunity?
