I would say no to both. Dont see the need for Chapman.

But come on, there is a bit of a difference between the deviant behavior of Bauer and Chapman not coming back to NY at the end of a season when they had already told him he would not make the playoff team. Sure, it was a D*@k move by Chapman. But it can not be compared to what Bauer was involved with during his suspension and investigations.

My guess is this is why Othani had rumors that the Padres would be all in on him next offseason.  Padres seem to look at everyone and spend lots of money so those who want to act like they have any info just throw out padres.

The Padres are not going to trade a GG caliber, 5.1 WAR SS for a starting pitcher that can't even start for the Red Sox. Quality starter, maybe. Houck? Not close.
