Even if SD signs Pollock, the trading of Grisham still leaves SD short one OFer, since Tatis has yet to play an entire season without injury. With that being said, IF I am trading with MIA for a SP, I am also gunning to get Berti. He can cover INF and LF, and stole 40+ bases last season. I would also look to get Taylor from KC, not sure I want to leave CF covered by a combo of Pollock/Azocar for 2-4 weeks in case of a Tatis injury.

MLBTR is reporting that SD has agreed to a MiL deal with a ST invite with Wilmer Font. Spent that last two seasons in KBO as a SP, with a mid 90's FB and a 53% ground ball rate.
More SP depth, sounds good to me.

AAA is going to have a very solid SP rotation.. (assuming we trade or sign someone at MLB level) and everyone healthy to start the yr
Teheran/Groome/Avila/Font/Wethers/Waldon/Brooks
Looks pretty solid for AAA..

Johnny Cueto has 273 IP over the last 2 years. More than Blake Snell & Sonny Gray. His 3.9 fWAR in 2 yrs is tied w/ Taijuan Walker. His 3.90 FIP better than Robbie Ray, Lucas Giolito, Miles Mikolas, & Cal Quantrill. Yeah, that'll play for a 4-5 starter for the Padres. Sign him!
