Seems like just what it would take to add Ohtani in Free Agency which replaces Mannys bat “and” Yu’s arm.
But I agree he probably chooses NY,Chi,LA,Bos ahead of SD.
From everything I've read Manny aint going anywhere..and Yu would likely retire if he didn't get extended here..he has said many times that Family has become much more important now and that he doesn't want to move again, nor pitch much longer than a couple/3 yrs max...for whatever that is worth...
Without Manny this team is not a team ..he is our Captain and he will be Here until he goes down with the ship or retires

I was not using twitter (never do) but guessing my other reference may have and they made the report. Clearly there was some confusion in early October.
Looking at some better and current sources ... does not have a no trade clause.

We could pivot to Urias and Devers at that point...Xander is Devers close friend and Urias would love to pitch closer to his Patria ....
Urias has domestic violence baggage. If Siedler won't sign Bauer why would he sign Urias?

If he isn’t traded before the season and the angels are not in playoff contention at the deadline then Ohtani gets traded and Preller overpays for him. Leverage and maximizing all possibilities/options going into 2024 and beyond not to mention to sniff that first championship, to believe you are Ohtani away from winning it all…it will put them all in on him.

LAA kind of blew it by not trading Othani at the deadline in 2022... Tbh... I can understand not moving him if they were in contention but they weren't.. Now they are looking at a 2nd and 5th rd pick..because LAA will be in contention as it appears in 23.. may not get in but will be too close to sell at desdline.. remember even as bad as LAA was in 2022 their Team ERA was #9 in mlb..
I think as SP is concern we have a better shot at Sonny Gray being available at the deadline than we do at Othani
If we need a bat Devers (if not extemded) should be the best bat available at the deadline... I dont expect Boston to be closer than 6 games back at deadline..so they either trade Devers or get the Xander results (2nd + 5th picks)...
