MIL gets Contreras, Payamps, and Yeager for Ruiz?!?!
MIL must have pictures of ATL and OAK GMs playing golf naked with 4 year olds to get there end of the trade.
Even Ruiz straight up for Contreras is a head scratcher to me! WTH??????????

Now that ATL is down to just 2 C's, Murphy and d'Arnaud, dont see ATL trading d'Arnaud. Unless they are looking to offload some salary, could we get d'Arnaud for Campusano?

Are the Padres really going all-in this year? We do still need another quality pitcher who can be playoff worthy and the Marlins are selling. I know everyone like to propose trades that have us giving up garbage and odds and ends for other team's treasure, but those trades never happen. One trade that works out almost perfectly on paper as far as value is concerned would be Jackson Merrill for Jesus Luzardo. We could get a lefty starter with a mid to upper 90s fastball who seemed to have a breakout last year and is under control until 2026...for Merrill. Is it worth it?

SD gets Luzardo and Berti, and MIA gets Merril and Rosario, would work for me.

I just put the real trade of MIL, ATL, and OAK into that trade simulator, and it says trade not accepted. It says at least one team in this trade is not giving up enough as they should be! Guess we know who, just dont know why.

OAK gets another pitcher from ATL … Royber Salinas a 21 year old who is in A ball … big K%. #18 on ATL’s list but young and maybe better prospect than the rating. Still would have though ATL would have received at least one blue chipper.
MILW’s involvement is just a ???????? Is the a problem with Contreras?

So Oak gets Ruiz / then Atlantas #1 P spec .. #6 and #18 for Murphy....or because of deeper system the Equivalent of Merrill + Lesko + Rosario and Ornelas for Murphy... pretty good get for A's especially considering 3 high upside P's

Not only did he not sign with the LAD or SF, he left the NL all together. Should work well for SD.
