2023 offseason
Quote from sportwarrior on December 7, 2022, 3:44 pmWith the Dodgers and Giants standing around so far, and Seidler obviously willing to spend where appropriate... it certainly feels like an appropriate time to nab a Bogaerts/Senga combo and put us over the top in the NL West...

Can still give you 28-30 starts.....and probably better than Manaea and Clevinger?

Six teams still need a SS and they are all talking to Xander Bogaerts now. Red Sox, Padres, Cubs are among them.

Benintendi would only be a slight improvement over what Profar gave us last year and should be relatively cheap. He is FAR from the big bats we have been pursuing though. He would also keep Tatis on the dirt which I am against. I guess we can still have a good off-season with him as the biggest offensive addition, but only if we sign a Rodon or Senga.
At this point, with the Padres willing to spend as much as $400 million, I will be seriously disappointed if Benintendi is the highlight of our off-season.
