Depending on what happens with the trade deadline …. I expect him gone when both Lamet and Strahm are activated and the Padres return to a 14 man pitching staff.

I'm guessing he's trying real hard to get something done with Hosmer but if necessary,or he has a taker,he may have to trade Myers.

I'm guessing any additional moves are contingent on lowering future commitments in some way.

I'm really hoping its Hoz over Myers....Myers is so streaky he is always on the verge of "going off".

Plus he can play 1b and the OF.

While I understand that Hassell could be someone very good, IMO, OFers are easier to find or create. Take Abrams, he could easily slide to CF with Grisham moving to RF, and then very easy to find a bat first, good not great defense LF.

So it would be how much cash, and then trust that AJ plucks the next Tatis as the PTNL.
