When Tatis is voted in to start the All Star game this year it will be the first time a Padre has been voted in to start the game since the 20th century.

Darn it , Pham stealing at that spot is so stupid, I am trying to play it cool this year, but this sh...y team makes it so hard, World Series contenders my a....!!

My only guess is they called a hit and run there?
If not it was really dumb...if so,it was still pretty dumb with Tatis on deck in a 2 run game late.
This has not been fun lately.Not great timing either with the full capacity homestand "opening day" coming up tomorrow.
Will still be fun...esp when Dodgers come to twon.
BUT,we need to start hitting quick.

It’s time. Tingler and hitting coach need to go yesterday. Why the organization thought an inexperienced manager could lead a veteran team is beyond me. Experiment over.....

The Padres are sending left-hander Ryan Weathers to Triple-A, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune’s Kevin Acee. Weathers will be stretched out again as a regular starter in the minors, though his next call-up to the big leagues could be to fill a hole in either the rotation or the bullpen.

Well that is a surprise given the battle for the playoffs ... no word yet on who is being called up.
Since the word is their desire to stretch him out as a starter ... presumably for later this season, with pure insurance for an injury to one of Darvish-Snell-Musgrove-Lamet-Paddack OR have him ready if the choose to trade on of those top 5. Also suggests that there are no current minor league options for starting ... ML ready at this time.

James Norwood (according to MLBTR) has been called up from AAA to replace Weathers. I would assume that a 40 man move will need to be made to make room for Norwood.

No … Norwood is already on the 40 man. Big K% … big BB% guy. Padres got him in April from the Cubs (who DFA him) for Darius Valdez.

Why on earth did they pitch to Blackmon after Story stole second....walk the guy and set up a DP....his run didn't mean anything on first base ?

The warts are definitely starting to show on Tingler.
Last year was like an exhibition and he certainly showed his inexperience. This year, being nearly 3 x as long, those issues are playing out over longer periods of time.
I've been open about my concern with his use of his pitching staff and the way he juggles the lineup every day. In real terms, Tingler is still in year 1 as an MLB manager so I'm willing to give him SOME leeway, but not a lot.
I certainly believe if he doesn't take this team to the post season, he will be gone. Let's hope for OUR sake, he figures it out and gets these guys moving in the right direction. With the Duds coming to town, now might be a good time.
