Looking like tomorrow's game has little chance of being played ... 100% chance of rain / snow with 1-3 inches. (the good is extra rest for the pen and a little more time for Lamet who guessing would be the starter).

However Tuesday night the precipitation seems to have passed ... but COLD in the mid-30s. Game should go.

Then Wednesday is clear and warmer ... expect a double header chance. No issue for the Padres with an off day on Thursday and COLO remains at home for a Thursday game with CINN.

But this is COLO and the weather really changes quickly.

Probably only the 8th ... need to get Diaz some work in the 9th ... has not pitched since May 3 ... don't think he got into a game in EP.

Not showing up the 1st 2 games was frustrating, but HAD to have yesterday to prevent really getting too far behind SF.  Swing of 2 games the right way is huge.

I'm totally OK with where we are at 1.5 GB San Fran, + 1 on LAD.   You can see hints of what this team can become if hitting on all cylinders:  SP, RP, offense, defense.   The RP & speed/aggressiveness on basepaths have been consistent, but nothing else has...

... I think it's coming.  If it all clicks, watch out 🙂

This = 1.20 "WHHBIP" (Walks/Hits/HBP) & 3.90 ERA.  K & BB #'s still very strong, but pretty hittable, and hasn't gone deep into games.    His start vs LAD was concerning b/c they just will NOT chase breaking stuff out of zone, which is really Musgrove's whole arsenal.  Forced up his pitch count & got him out of game pretty early.  Not sure what he can do with what he throws to combat that.

Any reason for concern?  It does seem like he's been on kind of a weird schedule / pitch limit since the big game... maybe just needs to settle into a stretch of going every 4th/5th day consistently for awhile.
