Lamet saw Dr Andrews back in October.
Obviously he didn’t say he “needed” surgery or he would have gone ahead and had it.I seriously doubt Lamet and the Padres went against Andrews’ recommendation.
I just don’t get how he’s been fine.......even throwing 70 pitches a few days ago and goes 2 innings today and needs surgery.

Why in the world did Hill only face one batter? And Johnson pitch only 1 inning? Both guys are capable of throwing more pitches.
The way we're using the pen is unsustainable. Obviously, it would be nice if our hitters would actually, well, hit but burning out our pen won't score us more runs.
Edit: Okay, Hill faced 2 batters. Still, he threw 10 pitches, Johnson 13. MLB pitchers need to go more than that.

Doesn't make much sense, does it?
If I'm Seidler, I can anyone who has input in developing our arms. They're doing a poor job.

Hard to blame the team for Morejon.
They couldn’t have babied him any more than they did.
He never pitched even a mild workload.
As far as this team right now...it’s down right embarrassing.
Obviously we’re not as good as the Brewers....let alone the Dodgers.
I am afraid to play the Cardinals,Mets and Braves.
And we have four more games against the Dodgers coming up?
We may be 4 games under .500 by Monday.
A couple years ago this wouldn’t even bother me....but with this payroll and projected to win 100 games?

How does a professional major league hitter watch a fastball right down the middle on a full count and the bases loaded when you’re losing by 2 runs?
Wouldn’t ANY other hitter be keying in a fastball in that situation?
So you get one....”right down the middle”....and you don’t even swing?
I don’t think I’ve ever been this frustrated with a game....even if we do score here.

I dred having runners in scoring position, I know it won't be like this all year but impossible to watch . Trying to guess what will happen to keep us from scoring. All we are missing is a triple play

Baes loaded....ZERO outs...8th inning down by 2.....and we can’t even put the ball in play?!
What team expected to contend is this pathetic?
