2021 Season

PreviousPage 24 of 114Next

Has anyone heard who (if anyone) is on the taxi squad for this road trip?

Down 3-0.....bases loaded with zero outs and we can’t score.

We really need to get this offense going.

Can’t afford to fall behind the Dodgers while Tatis is out.

Pham needs his turn on the bench.

He’s killing us right now.

Yeh, Pham is struggling .... with Grisham back (and starting well) and Profar looking good all over ... could see Pham with an off day and Profar in LF  (maybe in the PITT series).

For good Padres’ season, Pham needs to play well to allow for Profar to be that super utility guy ... expecting all the starters will have injury / off days. He was cold to start ST ... finished hot ... maybe we are just seeing the “streaky” part of Pham’s game ... I hope.

Thought I saw a report that Adams was activated and Crismatt optioned.

On the game the announcers implied that we may have Lamet activated for the PITT series ... he pitched a 50+ pitch “game” today with a mix of sliders / fastballs. However, first want to make sure that is best for Lamet .... so iffy.

Plus apparently Altavilla is close. Could be very interesting on the next two out given the pen has been excellent. Maybe with all the “out of option” arms (some lower on the totem pole) maybe Preller is working the phones for trades.

Decent outing by Paddack today. Nice bounce back after giving up 3 in the 2nd, going 2 scoreless after that. Would have liked him to go 5 or 6 today, but baby steps and little victories.

I wasn't able to hear the game, did Paddock use a third pitch today, or was it just fastballs and changeups?

I saw one curve.......it literally may have only been one.

I think he threw back to back curves to Gallo in the 1st , both were Beautiful strikes and I don't think he threw another. He really needs to pitch to Caratini and not shake him off the whole game.

Also nice to see Kim get his 1st HR and the fake cold shoulder reception in the dugout. I wonder what the launch angle was ? I know it's not possible but it looked like 100, He really got under it and hit way up the foul pole.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in the first 10 days of the season it’s that Cronenworth has to hit 2nd in the order against RH.

I prefer Tatis 3rd anyway.

Grish/Crone/Tatis/Machado/Hosmer/Myers/Pham/Nola

Pham needs a couple days off though....give Profar LF for a few days now that Grish is back.
