Looks as though we can add Altavilla to the 10 IL (calf) to start the season. Also, Adams is pitching a bullpen so his IL stint should not be long unless the bullpen does not workout and his elbow flares up again.

So, Weathers and Williams appear to be locks for the pen ... but that will get it to eight. So, who is #9? IF an non-roster arm need an offsetting 40 man move (Guerra to 60 day?). Crismatt has the inside track, I would think, after an excellent ST.

i'm with you ... low confidence in Paddock right now ... and ... the other perspective is ... he's the kind of guy that can be impacted by it just being an exhibition game ... this was "just practice" ... let's see what happens in Game 4 ...

Well, as far as I'm concerned (and the Padres haven't called me to ask my opinion), he's on a short, SHORT, rope. Not so subtle pressure with Weathers making the big club and ready to take over the fifth spot in the rotation as Morejon slides to fourth. I think both of them will do nothing but improve over the course of the season as they get more experience. Just sayin . . .
