So our top 4 team added.... Rosenthal, Moreland, Castro, Adams, Nola, Clevinger?

6 new personalities to add to our locker room. That a good idea?

And....only Rosenthal is a rental.

IMO when players are added like this to “go for it” and help the team win it’s a much easier transition than say....what the Mariners did.

You don’t think Tatis and Manny and Co. are gonna welcome these guys with open arms?

I do!

This is even more exciting than 2015 because we already have a great team!

For 2 years of Clevinger?

This year AND two more years!

Thanks Mr. P.

Sure hope they do.

We can now compete with the Duds. And if we get Lynn?????

This could be REALLY good.

So even with Allen coming back we just saved another 28 man roster spot.

Or does that go to Castro?

If Greg Allen is added that's like overhauling a third of your roster! Starting pitcher - check, closer - check, a real DH, check, a catcher that can actually hit, check . . . and some other guys.

(Hopefully Austin Adams can make a contribution soon)

(Could Pham come back for the post season?)

Wake me up. I'm dreaming.

And Greg Allen is home grown: born in SD, played at SDSU.

I'm a fan already.

Room to keep both on the 28 without another move ... bench Castro (L), Moreland (L), Mateo, Allen (#), Garcia (L) .... Nola starts, Profar starts. Only other 40 man roster player at the alternative site is Almonte.

Bleacher Report’s Scott Miller adds that the PTBNL is likely to be minor league reliever Matt Waldron.

He is a RHRP drafted (18th round) in 2019 ... played in RK/Low A ... had an excellent K%.

The way Preller (and the scouting staff) track these kind of players in the draft and in the minors ... he probably really has some upside and is not just a throw-away. Just 22 and a lot of non-roster control.

I don't know how fast all these guys can get to Colorado. I can't wait to see today's lineup.

And maybe lost in all the excitement is how important today's game is. If we win we are up on Colorado by 4, if we lose, only by 2 games.

Go Padres!

I think covid rules means that can’t join until our next home stand
