Like Senzel but still has to be considered a work in progress. Looking at his history he is not a power hitter, not a speedster, but looks to be a very competent hitter who is likely average as a floor. If projected as a 2B, Padres have a lot coming that could be similar. Would not over pay. Note that he missed time in 2018 and 2019.
A Lindor for Senzel and Galvis would also save Cleveland about $45MM over the next 2 years ... big for them trying to lower payroll.
Without the money an issue Padres should be able to get him for a ML ready OF and Arias. Grisham or Cordero?

Did just see the update from Dennis Lin with Myers deal still being worked with Boston AND Padres interested in Senzel and Lindor ... setting up a multi team potential deal.
The Lindor piece for the Padres would the blockbuster that could financially fit by moving Myers but that combo would cost a lot of prospects and move Tatis off SS for one of the best in MLB.

With Lindor "open" to an extension--- Padres might want Senzel to flip him for Lindor (Reds not able to ADD $18 more million I take it)... So we get Senzel-- flip him for Lindor and extend Lindor---- Myers to Sox--- JBJ to Reds-- a milliom and 1/2 specs to Reds/Clev and Sox... along with 3 or 4 mlb ready pieces

Except the last thing the Reds need is an outfielder and their biggest need is SS.
It just makes more sense that they would want/need Lindor and we would rather have Senzel.
Lindor to us means moving Tatis and more payroll...even if we move Myers.
Senzel is minimum cost for 5 years.

Henry, kudos if you're right.... but you're mis-reading this. Interested in both, but it's either/or .... unless we want to deal every top 100 prospect + more to create payroll room (i.e. Myers) and have a bunch of elite young guys get moved off their positions.

That may mean they are pursuing both to get one of them ... Can’t see CINN moving Senzel unless they get Lindor.
If CLEV and CINN can’t get together Preller swoops in for Lindor but has nothing CINN needs for 2020 contention.

Ugh I am extremely not on board with this trade talk. There just is no way we jettison Myers and acquire Lindor or Senzel without giving up a TON of prospects. 1) Myers' value will never be lower; 2) We're at the start of our window and shouldn't accelerate it at the cost of our elite prospects; 3) Lindor is a rental; 4) Senzel is just as much a prospect as any of the guys we'd be giving up, except we'd be paying a premium.
Let Myers play through till midseason and reassess then. DON'T overpay for one year of Lindor and DON'T overpay for Senzel. And definitely don't trade Arias. He's on the cusp of a huge breakout and we're going to be killing ourselves if we trade him now.

I'd be happy getting either but Senzel would be a MUCH better fit.
Shifting players around generally doesn't work for the Pads( see Myers, Naylor, etc......)

I agree with this.
However,getting 6 years of Senzel(at minimum cost) who can play 2b or CF is intriguing...."at the right cost".
Also,while Lindor is a rental you could say that about almost every player.At least we would have him for two full seasons.
I just don't like moving Tatis unless the cost to get Lindor just can't be passed up....which I doubt will be the case.
