Tuesday 7th and Wed 8th.
Reds and Angels.
Hoping Ohtani/Trout still there…..along with our fab 4.
Got them from MLB.com….$34 each
Padres side 2 sec from dugout.

Of the new rules for 2023 … ST will be good time to see which pitchers can adapt to the pitch clock … Padres have a number who are “slow” with men on base including Darvish, Snell, Martinez, Hader plus others.
Obviously ST will be working on speeding up their approaches BUT good chance only some make the adjustment “easily” and some will have a hard time changing a lifetime of pitching habit … just don’t know who.

Darvish pitching in WBC will miss some valuable time on speeding up.. WBC doesn't follow new rules

Is the "two throws only to 1b" rule in effect this year?
I thought it wasn't...but then saw the opposite being discussed on Twitter?

Yes it is in effect this season. They were discussing it this morning on XM, and mentioned our guy Berti, thinking with that rule, the bigger bases that Berti could steal 50+ bases this season.

Will be interesting to watch Jordan Guerrero ... BIG RP with (or had) a big FB but was not overwhelming in his journey up the levels. Yet, think the Padres still saw enough to send him to the AZ Fall League and now invite him to ML camp (over may other options). He was Rule 5 eligible but not selected.
As I recall he had control issues ... but if that FB is still alive ... things come together at different time for some RP and we may get a surprise as a mid-season call-up.
