Just a thought (speculation) ... with the short bench and a day game tomorrow .... have the Padres brought a player(s) up to sit on the bench tonight so they could be activated tomorrow as needed?
Might explain the EP activation of Quiroz and Powell with no reported offsetting move. Might get a clue when we see the EP line-up or see someone for EP in the Padres dugout tonight.

Just when I think Kinslers play can’t get any worse.
He finally gets on base and with the Pitcher up.....to bunt him into scoring position in a one run game.....gets picked off (again!) off of first!
I mean......how does a long time veteran have absolutely no clue as to what’s going on on the field?

Super impressive start for Quantrill!
I’ll admit I didn’t expect it.
I’d say he’s earned a shot at sticking in the rotation.

Agree ... surprised me with his velocity and command. May not stick now but will be back soon.

Looks like Urias and Naylor in the EP line-up tonight so NOT likely to be activated for a day game in Atlanta tomorrow.
Not in the line-up are Dickerson and A.Allen and, I guess since he is already on the 40 man, Allen could be a short term add for a LH bat until ? no idea. Maybe the Padres just hold off until they return home on Friday.

That first inning he was missing spots by a lot, but that was probably overthrowing or being somewhat nervous, after that he looked like he belongs
