Castillo injured .... finger (maybe tendon TBD) on pitching hand .... no detail but sounds like it should send him back to the IL

Maybe Preller and the scouting staff is smarter than we are .... re: Quantrill.
Most did not like the pick .... most saw his as a failure in the minors (lack of stats) .. and he is now maybe the most effective SP (with Paddack) on the staff.
Since he got the starting role .... been very effective ... and tonight 7 shut out innings against a good hitting COLO team.
Padres maybe be re-setting the SP pecking order for 2020?

Could it be that guys like Tatis and Quantrill dont get overwhelmed playing mlb baseball just for the fact that they were around as kids, making their situations much easier than any other guy? Maybe Quantrill was underachieving in the minors because he knew his place was at the MLB level, and there wasnt a big motivation playing down there

Guessing it was lack of command in the minors .... had the stuff .... just never know when a pitcher gets (if ever) the command to be successful. Probably more physical thing than mental.

Did Urias or Renfroe botch Arenado's batted ball? Or was it a legit hit and RBI?

Renfroe should have taken control and called Urias off.
But he let up and just let Urias keep coming and he failed to catch it.
That was on Renfroe.
And this just in......Stammen has been as un-clutch as anyone this season.
His numbers don’t adequately represent how bad he’s been.

Margot has come to life at the right time!
He's been quite productive since just before the break.
