I saw something from Manny tonight that leads me to believe he is close to going in one of his 🔥 streaks... he actually Pulled a ball HR distance foul.. I haven't seen him do that all year.. he has been going oppo to RF all year even his lone HR was to RF.. he usually plays pepper with LF Metal building when he is 🔥.. I think his back was not allowing him to really turn on balls to the pull side.. LFGXD!

They must have had some kind of party during the All Star break last year....which was in L.A. by the way.

Those may be the worst 3 AB’s in a row I’ve seen in years.
Especially Manny….WTF even was that?
Seriously looked like he doesn’t care and was just going to swing at the first 3 pitches he saw no matter where they were.

Six up six down with 3 “horrible” AB’s.
I may need to tune out for a bit for my own mental health.
How can this offense be this inept?
Worst batting average in all of MLB and it shows.

Top line return to the pen for Martinez going 3 shutout innings. Needed with Wacha only going 5 and the pen being used heavily yesterday.

Yep Martinez was great. It was nice to see Tatis and Cronenworth get some clutch hits too.

Lol Smyly was literally the hottest pitcher in baseball coming in with like 18 2/3 scoreless IP.. He was one fluke play away from a perfect game vs LAD last start... the game plan against him was almost perfect.. I say almost cause the 1 2 3 1st was super aggressive and our boys looked super bad.. But they began running the pitch count up every inning after that and got to him for 2 big runs and got him put of there early .. then 3 vs the BP for the Win... everyone had a good game minus Soto.. glad that BoMel PH for Nola..
I think when Campy comes back they should IL Nola for 10-15 days.. let Campy #1 and Sully #2.. get some games in.. and let Nola reset, he is off at the plate and I think the running vs him (worst in the MLB amongst C) is affecting his overall game.. a Reset of sorts will let him unwind a bit relax, truly heal and hopefully get him going

If HSK does what he did tonight with the bat when he gets 2 strikes on him (oppo) he is going to have a big year.. that play he made to the SS side is maybe a 2% probability play.. he is as good as they come at 2B/SS/3B.. ..

Kim was awesome tonight and just missed on a couple swings that would have made it even better. His glove and ability to handle lefties (especially softer throwers like Miley) give him a high floor. If he continues to get better against right handers and velocity he could be very good. It was nice to see him pick up a couple hits off of right handers in that regard. I wouldn't bet against him.
