We thought we would be good in 2021 and beyond “before” we got Grisham and Cronenworth!
Now?
Sky is the limit.
If Gore and Patiño are even close to what we hope we will be a consistent playoff team.
Oh,and how l0ng have we hoped for “meaningful games in September”?

Was that Naylors last HR as a Padre or his last HR before heading back to USD?

How does Guerra throw 101 with such a smooth easy delivery? He just needs to pitch and get some experience and refine his breaking ball.

Richards is starting tomorrow .... 3 rest days BUT on the 27th only went 2/3rds of an inning and only threw 33 pitches. Should be fully rested.
Big outing for Richards coming after Paddack's comeback performance today ... if the Padres add an arm he could slide to #5 starter and the pen for the playoffs.

Everything clicked today in Colorado except for a miscue by Tatis. Hope he is not slipping into his defensive lapses he had last year - maybe he's just tired. Myers did look he was swinging slow bat and he really needed a blow. Croney and Grisham were huge and no way either is going to Cleveland, which is why we probably fell out as a favorite to land Clevinger.

Paddack is going to be very dangerous now with that slider I saw today! 83-85 with serious horizontal movement? He really needed it and it seems to be working.

SHERIFF in town! SO great to give him the early run support & just see Paddack back in form.
Assumed it would be Richards on Monday to avoid being "cute" with the whirlwind of guys in & out... Hopefully he can follow Paddack's lead & get back on track too.
