PADRES AT COLO

Morejon will start tomorrow. Good chance Paddack goes Sunday, Tingler said. Monday is open — might be bullpen day or taxi squad guy. #Padres
==============
I guess the Monday starter will be dependent on how taxed the pen is on Saturday and Sunday. At least Davies is doing his job tonight.
Any idea of a starter type on the "taxi squad"? We know it is not Eickhoff. Lucchesi or Cararena? Doubt they do a spot start with Gore in COLO.
Monday is trade deadline ... so some other available / not available issues may be in play.

this just in Tati is fast and Coors field is kind of a joke

Wow, what a hustle play. Tatis really is a 5 tool player!

A real COORS Field game! Hold all tickets.

Note that France is really beginning to be a hitting threat (now over .300 BA) and COULD be solidifying that DH slot (with back-up 3B/1B/emergency C).

Strahm coming in, could be great could give up 10. With our bullpen there is no inbetween. Hope it's one of tos games Tingler comes out as a mad genius and doesn't stick to a reliever having to start an inning.

Why is it never easy at Coors Field? Nice job by Hill.

I realize it’s Coors Field but Mateo starting to look like he belongs.

If he and France become fixtures this team gets a lot better immediately.

Looked bleak in the beginning, but the guys rallied and Davies self-corrected.  I love that Strahm didn't want to be taken out but Story was coming up and at that point in the game, momentum could have turned around.  Grisham having a very difficult time hitting lefties but who else could we put at the top of the line-up against lefties?  Go back to Tatis?  Nice that Mateo had a good game but that's just one good game at Coors - can't stick him up there.   Obtain someone in a trade?

Oh yes, Hill did a fantastic job getting out of that bases loaded jam in the 8th.  Trade with KC looking better all the time.

They can say it's a bullpen day, but Morejon is always the starter. I believe the Padres think that he is further along at this point more than either Patino or Gore. They would like him to go 4 or 5 innings today, and then gradually stretch it out to 6 or 7 as the season progresses. THEN the bullpen can take over.
