Caratini settled at 2m. Voit got 5.45m. I haven't seen anything on the rest of our group yet. Meadows settled at 4m with the Rays.

Lamet settled at $4.775MM

Paddack, Musgrove, and Alfaro are still pending last I heard

Musgrove … $8.625MM.

Just approved … active roster will be up by 2 (to 28) until May 1.

Looks as though some out of options arms get a stay of execution.

Well, Boston just DFA’d Jessson Rosario too. Think they were the two prospect used to get Mitch Moreland.

Most of us were really bummed at the time losing two prospects held in high regard. Apparently Preller saw them differently … neither were even good in AA leading to the DFAs.

MLBTR still shows Rosenthal as a FA, I believe that he had hip surgery in 2021. So, is he healthy and if so, could he be an closing option for SD?

He was good when we traded for him in 2020.

Also, looking at the list of FA OFers on MLBTR, of course there still is Conforto. Danny Santana is still available as well. I would not sign him to the 40 man, as the bat is light. However he is a switch hitting player capable of playing SS and CF. I would think that he could be a nice safety option in AAA.

I know it's silly to sit here and dwell, but boy do I wish Preller had been able to land that Winker/Suarez combo from the Reds. The Mariners just flat out did not give up much at all. On top of it, Justin Dunn is out for a considerable chunk of time with shoulder problems that were known to exist at the time of the trade. The only thing stopping us, obviously, was money. Despite the vague assurances from ownership that Preller had the leeway to go out and make the moves he needed to, it's quite apparent that he instead has a significant leash on him.

If we get an OF, it will probably be in trade - maybe with Seattle, LA Angels, Cincinnati, Baltimore or Milwaukee.  The first two might want more pitching to solidify a playoff spot while the latter three are rebuilding or trying to become more competitive.  How about Lorenzo Cain and Keston Hiura for Hosmer, Campusano, Mears and some lower level prospects?  Cain's salary comes off the books after 2022 and Hiura probably not any worse than Hosmer on defense and still one year away from arbitration.
