Probably not much more given Frazier is only 1 year control and not a lot of teams pushing for a 2B at this point ... at least not to deploy a bit over $7MM vs other needs.

Wonder if the Padres are in on Suzuki ... the new "star" out of Japan. Most expect a 3-5 year deal for the RHH (he is only 28) in the mid-teens per season range. IF the scouts see him as being ML productive ... could be a good transition in RF as Myers departs after the season.

I would rather not trade Myers on his last year. Hosmer is a lost cause and hopefully he can platoon DH. In that scenario we would still need a 1B and LF. Campusano can be the righty platoon DH with Hosmer. As far as Suzuki goes, Kim's progression makes me not confident.

They would basically have Hosmer for free for 2 years and add two good prospects.

If they thought Campy could start they could move Murphy(about to hit Arb) and add another couple good prospects.

Knowing  Preller he could even add Merrill and either Mears or Wood and expand the deal and grab a Starter.

Japanese League is a level or two higher than Korea and Suzuki also a level above Kim.
