Is there any point playing any more games?

Quote from WindsorUK on October 4, 2026, 4:26 pmHonestly, we're not really very good and the Brewers can barely beat us.
Duds have a cake walk to the NL pennant.

Quote from TarheelPadre on October 4, 2026, 4:33 pmStammen with some terrible decisions today. This isn’t a casual Sunday game in June. Should have kept Campusano in the game. Should have run the usual end of game reliever scenario instead of asking Miller for the six out save. It was obvious to everyone that it wasn’t going to end well.
I agree, trade Miller (what’s the point of keeping a closer that can’t locate his 103 mph fastball in high leverage situations).

Quote from brent wolff on October 4, 2026, 5:47 pmIf Miller throws strikes instead of walking 3 hitters, he was terrific for the 8th and not good in the 9th. I'm sure no one is more disappointed than him for blowing today's lead and letting his teammates down.
This year's team as done nothing easily, so this is par for the course, but now, there is no more room for error.
The Pads should have really won both games in Milwaukee, but we return to SD down 0-2. Ugh!

Quote from ultratvfan on October 4, 2026, 7:33 pmStammen should not have taken Campusano out. He should have brought in Adam in the 8th and Miller in the 9th
Machado hustled himself to 3rd base, when he should not have, only to get out. He needs to show that same hustle running to first base.
Taylor hits a bunt single to first base. With runners on first and second base, Bogaerts should have bunted them over. Instead he full swinged it into a DP. I guess he wanted the big hit.
They must turn things around in front of our home crowd. In 1984, the Padres were down 2-0 in a 5 game series and won the next 3 for the NLCS Championship.
Let's hope the can do it again.
GO PADRES!

Why is it different when hit hits the roof?/
