NLDS Series - San Diego Padres vs Milwaukee Brewers: Oct 3-9
Quote from BoosterSD on October 8, 2026, 11:44 amConsidering almost everyone had them dead before the All Star break, and they took it to the team with the best record in baseball, means this was a very good season. You could tell the bullpen was gassed from heavy use in the summer to even get there. In the offseason, need to resign France, Morejon, and King if possible. Make sure the staring rotation is in a better spot than this season, and focus our sights on the NL West division title.
Time to put the money where the mouth is Jones and Feliciano!

Quote from MrPadre19 on October 8, 2026, 1:32 pmI'd be happy with keeping King and France.
Others would be a bonus.
Pivetta option a no brainer.
If the playoffs showed us anything it's that Musgrove should be good to go and effective next season.
So already feel better knowing we are at least starting with Musgrove/Pivetta/Vasquez.
I wouldn't mind keeping Buehler depending on the cost.
Not sure who....or how....but one more power bat in the middle of the order wsure would be nice.
The slow start to the offense and the lack of runs in this series has me a little worried about next years offense also.

Quote from fenn68 on October 8, 2026, 6:19 pmIf the money is there the media is touting a power hitting LHH LF from Japan and a couple of pitchers also from Japan.
The domestic FA market is not great.
No idea how the lockout and new CBA impact timing with no ability to negotiate then a short timeframe to sign once CBA approved.
