Well Clevinger gave it a shot. Have to hope that he and Lamet are somehow both healthy next year, if not than the last week of the season was a disaster. Not a great chance against the Dodgers but we are playing with house money. I am going to savor the rest of the playoffs and hope that this is a good learning experience. This year has been my 3rd favorite year ever, after 84 and 98 of course. The big difference is that those teams had a lot of older players near the end of their careers and this team has no one that fits that description. All we need is good health and some of the prospects to come through. I would like to see Weathers pitch a couple of innings. If Clevinger is done than maybe Gore can take his roster spot and start game 3 or 4 if needed.

If I understand the rule correctly if we drop Clevinger from the roster and replace him it has to be with another pitcher and Clevinger is lost for the rest of the Postseason,not just the NLDS.....correct?

I guess the LH hitters batters box is a strike against RH hitters?

Apparently Weathers was brought up instead of Gore because he could provide more length.
So as long as he has some success he may go a few innings here.

Then again,considering it’s his major league debut and the post season and the Dodgers in a tie game....they may get him out after an inning and let him relax.....lol

Someone made a bad call on Clevinger.
I don't think so ... I think, since he's injured, Padres can and will replace him on the roster for THIS series!

It feels like Tingler has told the left-handed pitchers to get the left-handed batters out and don't give in to the right-handed hitters (ie. OK to walk them) ... and vice versa.
