Probably would want him to play in A+ across multiple teams / pitchers of differing quality ... different parks ... different weather ... over a reasonable extended time before concluding he has developed past A+.

I'm overall very pleased with how the minor leagues have opened the season despite key injuries and bad weather.  Won't be making it out to our Texas teams this year but going to try to see several games at Lake Elsinore, which when fully healthy and get their bullpen straighted out, will be another playoff bound team.

Both are listed as two-way players ... Barnett has only hit (recovering from injury limited his shot at pitching) ... Musgrove has been out with injury since drafted in 2023.

Should be expect both to just be hitters in the near term ... or is there a chance they see the mound?

I think I remember reading on the site here that Barnett probably wouldn't pitch until the summer and that Musgrove is only expected to pitch.

Watched replay of the game on Milb.tv.  DeVries up 6 times all from the left side.  Not fooled on any pitches and controlled the strike zone.  1st time up - HR to RF corner.  2nd time up - 2b high off the 20 ft wall in left center.  3rd time up-HR to right center over the 377 foot sign.  4th time up - single to right center.  5th time up - SF to left center.  6th time up - 3b slammed off the right field wall that took a bounce away from the outfielder for a stand-up triple.

Incredible game and had that nice loose swing you saw early in Tati's career.  He's still got a long way to go but the talent is undeniable.
