Just for the record ... this is what it looks like when he has a bad night ... from today's DFR ...
MacKenzie Gore struggled mightily but was bailed out by the Sod Poodles’ offense. Gore had a bit of an unlucky start to the night but was hit hard in the subsequent innings. His fastball sat in the low 90’s and touched 94 — down a tick from where he was earlier in the season. Gore allowed seven runs — including three homers — in four innings of work.

I don't know anything about pitching mechanics ... I'm just asking a question ... what are the pro's and con's of "deep knee bend" vs "straight right knee" by a pitcher? This picture makes me ask ...

Word is that Gore will be shut down from “competitive innings”.
Will throw “on the side” but may come back and pitch in the Playoffs.

... and now sent back to AZL (i.e. de-activated)? WHAT is the possible purpose of shutting him down for 3-4 weeks, then bringing him back to pitch less than 2 innings, then shutting him down again?
If he's not pitching in the AA playoffs, this is an insanely stupid & risky move. Only possible point is to go from 99 to 100 IP on the year? Just don't get it.

Could we finally have another homegrown ace? A left-handed Jake Peavy? I can't remember any pitching prospect in our system who has ever looked as good as he does! He has the stuff. He has the competitiveness. He knows how to pitch. I am high as a kite on this guy! Can't wait until he gets here and gets comfortable. Gore, Paddack and Patino are going to make one hell of a dangerous playoff rotation.
