Quote from TatisJr on September 1, 2019, 12:40 pmI was really high Urias and still think his sample size is too small to judge, but I do find his tardiness on fastballs to be very concerning. I’ve seen him late on fastballs that are sitting at 87, 88 MPHs and that worries me. I understand and like that Urias has an opposite field approach, but being late on fastballs not touching 90 when most guys sit in the mid 90’s nowadays is becoming an increasing concern for me.
Unfortunately for us I think Lux is a future superstar for the Dodgers. It blows my mind how many top notch studs Friedman’s pipeline has been able to produce.

The Astros have “13” No hitters......we still have zero.

Quote from WindsorUK on September 1, 2019, 1:25 pmRegardless of who's running the show( Kroc, Moores, Fowler, et al) we continue to see the same results.
As Tatis says, the Dodgers produce BIG TIME ball players on almost a yearly basis. We've had Tony, Robby and Sandy, Derek Lee, Kruk, McReynolds, Baerga( I'm sure I've omitted a few other worthy candidates?).......and now Tatis Jr. Not a lot too show for the past 4 decades. Is it just bad luck or wrong people in high places?
And as to the no hitters......... it's unfathomable that in the, what, 8000 games the Padres have played, we've NEVER had one? Just bizarre........

Quote from LynchMob on September 5, 2019, 9:17 pmI'm a fan of pitchers who can hit ... such as Tim Loller ... Jason Lane ...
So I'm an Ohtani fan ... and the 2nd best in the game today is Michael Lorenzen ... Here’s the fun fact …
From the AP recap of yesterday’s Reds’ game: "The most recent player to get a victory, hit a homer and play outfield in the same game was Babe Ruth for the Yankees on June 13, 1921."
